Dozen Eggs

$7.00

Hand gathered daily and packaged with care. Our hens are fed a diet of no corn, no soy, non gmo feed and rotated through our pasture on a regular basis. So fresh grass and bugs!

Eggs from hens raised on a no-corn, no-soy diet can be a bit different nutritionally and for some people, easier to tolerate.

1. Potentially better fatty acid profile
When hens aren’t fed corn and soy (which are high in omega-6 fats), and instead eat things like pasture grasses, insects, flax, or diverse grains:

  • Eggs often have more omega-3s

  • And a better omega-6 : omega-3 balance

That’s generally considered better for inflammation and overall health.

2. More micronutrients

  • Higher vitamin D

  • More vitamin E

  • More beta carotene (darker yolks)

  • Sometimes higher choline

3. May help people with sensitivities
Some people report fewer issues (digestive, skin, etc.) with these eggs. Possible reasons:

  • Trace proteins from soy/corn in conventional feed might affect very sensitive individuals

  • Cleaner, less processed feed overall

That said, this isn’t universal or strongly proven. We are not doctors or scientists just farmers so do your own research, or just try them and see.
